  1. Electric motors are so elegantly simple and clean. I wish the batteries and
    charging technology would advance to the point where we could make
    gasoline/diesel engines obsolete. 

  2. “The new Bosch CX motor weighs 2 grams less …” That should be *200 grams
    less* – or 0.44 lbs. I learned that these Bosch units are basically
    “Electronic Power Steering” units that are used in cars, trucks, ATV’s and
    tractors. I am still hoping for more powerful motor units, and the loss of
    derailleur’s all together. Derailleurs are fragile, and extremely
    succeptable to trail damage. Hub motors look like the way to go for severe
    trail duty. JMO.
